Common Elektron Model:Samples Questions

How do I sync the Model:Samples to other MIDI devices like a drum machine or DAW?
Go to Settings > MIDI Config to set the clock receive and send options to internal or external and adjust MIDI channels accordingly. Ensure your DAW or external device is sending MIDI clock to the Model:Samples' specified MIDI channel.
How do I save my pattern and all of its associated sounds on the Model:Samples?
The Model:Samples does not have a traditional "Save Project" feature. You must save each Pattern individually via FUNC+REC, then select a bank and pattern number. Saving Kits independently is not possible; they are inherently linked to the saved Pattern.
How do I quickly clear a track of all its steps and parameter locks?
Hold FUNC and press the track number you want to clear. This will erase all the steps and parameter locks on that specific track.
My Model:Samples is frozen or not responding. What can I do?
Try power cycling the unit by disconnecting the power cable and reconnecting it. If the problem persists, consider re-flashing the firmware using Elektron's transfer software, ensuring you have a backup of any important samples you've loaded onto the device.
How do I use the unique "Sample Length" parameter and why is it important on the Model:Samples?
The Sample Length parameter, accessed by holding FUNC and turning the LENGTH knob, allows you to truncate the sample playback, essentially creating a looped region or shortening the sample's duration. This is crucial for maximizing the limited sample memory and creating rhythmic variations.
