Common Elektron Digitakt Questions

How do I sync the Digitakt to other MIDI devices like a DAW or another synthesizer?
In the Digitakt's MIDI config menu (SETTINGS > MIDI CONFIG), set the Clock Receive and Clock Send options to your desired settings; generally enable Clock Receive if the Digitakt is slaved, and Clock Send if it's the master. Also, check the MIDI channels for each track and the global MIDI channel to avoid conflicts.
What's the difference between a Project, a Bank, and a Pattern on the Digitakt, and how do I save my work?
A Project holds all your Banks (A-D), each Bank holds 16 Patterns (1-16), and each Pattern contains sequence data and sound assignments; saving a Project (FUNCTION + PROJECT) saves everything within that Project, including all its Banks and Patterns.
I'm new to the Digitakt. How do I load a sample and start creating a beat?
Enter the Sample Manager (SAMPLING MODE), browse your samples, load one onto a track (FUNC + press a track button), then enter Sequencer mode and use the sequencer buttons to place trigs (steps) on that track, adding a sample trigger at each step.
Why am I not hearing any sound from a specific track, even though it's sequenced and I can see the level meters moving?
Double-check the track's volume level (hold track button + LEVEL), ensure the track isn't muted (press track button), and verify that the sample assigned to the track is actually loaded and not just an empty slot.
How do I use the Digitakt's parameter locks (p-locks) to create dynamic changes in my sequences?
While the sequencer is running, hold a sequencer button (step), then adjust any parameter (e.g., filter cutoff, sample pitch) on the selected track; the value you set will now be locked to that specific step, creating variations within the pattern.
