Common Korg Triton Questions

How do I connect my Korg Triton to my computer via MIDI so I can use it as a MIDI controller?
Connect a MIDI cable from the Triton's MIDI OUT port to your computer's MIDI IN port (or a MIDI interface). In Global mode, ensure MIDI Clock is set to 'External' if you want your DAW to control the Triton's tempo, otherwise set to 'Internal'.
Where are my saved Programs, Combis, and Sequencer Songs stored, and how do I back them up?
Programs and Combis are stored in Internal memory or on a PCMCIA card (if installed). Sequencer songs are saved internally and can be backed up individually or via a system exclusive dump to a computer using MIDI SysEx software.
How do I quickly transpose the entire keyboard up or down a semitone or octave?
Use the FUNCTION button, then navigate to the 'Transpose' parameter using the arrow keys and adjust the value with the VALUE dial. Remember to save your settings if you want to keep this transpose for future sessions.
Why is the display screen on my Korg Triton dim or unreadable?
The Triton's display backlight can fail over time. Unfortunately, this requires either professional repair or replacing the LCD screen and/or backlight yourself (aftermarket kits are sometimes available).
How can I create and use arpeggios on the Korg Triton?
In Program or Combination mode, select the desired sound, then press the ARPEGGIO button to enable it. You can edit the arpeggio parameters and select from preset patterns using the VALUE dial and associated menus accessed via the function button.
